Pesarattu is a healthy protein rich famous recipe in Andhra pradesh. Pesarattu can be prepared easily made from ground green gram, ginger, cumin and chillies. Soak the ground green gram and grind them, no need of fermenting the batter. It can be used immediately after grinding. It tastes good when served hot with Upma

 1 cup Green gram/Whole moong
 1 tbsp Raw rice(Optional)
 1 tbsp Cumin
 2 Green chillies
 1 Small ginger piece
Garnishing on Pesarattu
 1 Onion(small)
 2 Green chillies
 2 tbsp Oil/ Ghee

Wash green gram for 2 to 3 times and soak in water for 4 to 6 hours. If using rice soak it with green gram

Blend green gram, ginger, cumin, green chillies, salt and add water blend it to a smooth paste. To get crispy pesarattu grind the paste well

Heat a dosa tawa with oil pour the batter and spread it to a thin round layer add oil to the edges and wait for 3 to 4 minutes and turn to other side

If required add onion pieces and fold the dosa and roast it for 2 minutes and serve it hot with Upma and Coconut chutney
